Wow, it finally cooled off a bit today. It was only in the low 90’s with a slight breeze & some scattered showers. Which meant we could spend a bit more time outside today without sweltering. I did finish a little sample of some Stitched Shapes for you this evening. Here is a preview:

This is the one thing I dislike about living in eastern Oklahoma - the HOT summers. It passed the hundred mark on my porch yesterday and it doesn’t look like there is any relief in sight for the next few weeks. I feel especially sorry for my dark colored horses. They look so miserable on these hot days. We have added an extra supply of water with electrolytes because they are sweating so much. The fans are on a thermostat & seem to be running about 16 hours a day right now. The horses are spending most of their daylight hours in front of the fans and then grazing in the late evening to early morning hours. Daniel shared a popsicle with his miniature stallion, Little Man, yesterday. I guess he thinks if they are good for us on hot days, they must be good for horses too, lol. No pics though…I left my camera charger in Georgia & hubby hasn’t sent it to me yet. Here’s a recent photo of the three miniatures, Precious, Little Man & Lazzie. Thanks to those who left me links to your layouts using my template. I love seeing how you use my designs and your layouts are fantastic! I hope to find time to get another free sample up soon. Also, it won’t be much longer till I can reveal where my designs are going to be for sale. I can tell you a couple of things now. It’s a new site, with just me and one other designer. If you love quality scrap designs, you will love it. Can you guess who my partner in crime is??? I’ll give anyone who guesses correctly a little surprise goodie. I am finding it hard to take a “break” from designing, so here is a brand new layered template for you. It is available in both 12″ x 12″ and 8.5″ x 11″, both with the layered psd file and the individual png files for those who might need them.

There are two options with this template: a) the four small blocks for photos, journaling, embellishments, etc or b) one large center block. Here is a layout I did using this template. I took these photos last month & it still astonishes me when I look at how fast my girls are growing up.
